1960s Established in Winnipeg Manitoba, in 1961 by Harry, Frank and John Dyck, FLOFORM Industries was an add-on to their successful cabinet and construction business. FLOFORM Countertops’ first location was a 7,000 square ft. building employing seven skilled craftsmen on the corner of St Mary’s and Oustic Avenue.

The FLOFORM name derives from the cutting edge technology of post form laminate countertops, an appropriate one for the company that helped pioneer post form laminate countertops in Manitoba. |

1970s - 1980s As FLOFORM prospered in the 70’s, a new facility was built in 1974 and FLOFORM relocated to Hamelin Street in Winnipeg. The new facility and now head office allowed FLOFORM to keep up with demand and reach the western markets. A new logo was introduced illustrating FLOFORM’s post forming capabilities. |

Expansion into the Alberta market brought branches into Calgary and Edmonton in 1982 and 1984 respectively. Saskatoon’s Custom Countertops was FLOFORM’s first acquisition as a division of FLOFORM allowing for full coverage in the Prairie Provinces. |

1990s Ted Sherritt joins FLOFORM as VP of Finance and Administration in 1995 to later become President and CEO after the retirement of Frank Dyck in 2000. Ted’s foresight and ambition would later lead to additional locations in the West and premium additions to the product line. |

FLOFORM Countertops undergoes its first major rebrand in 1998 by introducing the purple and green logos featuring the beveled edge finish. At the time, the hot colors of the 90’s accompanied the infamous tagline “Fee-Fi FloForm, The Giant Difference” for over a decade and brought uniformity within the four branches. |

2000s In 2005 new opportunities arose with the addition of stone surfaces into the product line and seeking further opportunities out west starting with Regina in early 2008. |

In 2008 FLOFORM acquires U.S. company Fine Line Pacific which included locations in Kent, WA Spokane, WA and Portland, OR. Fine Line Pacific’s years of experience brought FLOFORM new opportunities in the stone industry boasting our largest stone fabrication and showroom facilities. |

The acquisition of Fine Line Pacific brought new marketing, sales, fabrication and production initiatives to the company. This aided the initiation of FLOFORM’s 2nd major rebrand moving to a contemporary new identity. |

In 2009 FLOFORM increases its geographical footprint by opening branches in British Columbia, first in Vancouver followed closely by Kelowna and Victoria. |

In August of 2011, Fine Line Pacific aligns itself with the corporate group name FLOFORM Countertops. In the same year, FLOFORM celebrates its 50th Anniversary. |

FLOFORM now spans across four Provinces and occupies the United States Pacific Northwest. With its network of facilities, FLOFORM now sells to over 4,000 recurring buyers in addition to its own retail showrooms. |
