Fort McMurray Wildfires

By now, we’ve all heard about the devastating fires taking place in Fort McMurray in Northern Alberta. The region’s 88,000 residents have been evacuated and over 1,000 firefighters are battling to protect the community.

The Red Cross has issued an emergency appeal for monetary donations to cover immediate food supplies and shelter costs for evacuees. Getting these evacuees tended to, fed and with a roof over their heads is the primary priority. After than, funding could help with the community rebuilding.

We encourage everyone to help raise funds for our friends and family in Northern Alberta.
