Pantone’s 2017 Color of the Year – Greenery

Here at FLOFORM we have a soft spot for a good green (have you seen our logo?!). Not only does it hit close to home for us, but it represents growth, freshness and nature in the most beautiful way.

The Pantone Color Institute’s Executive Director, Leatrice Eiseman said, “Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose.”

Here are some of our favorite ways to incorporate a delicious bright green into your home.

Green fixtures such as cabinetry may seem extreme, but if paired properly with other earthy tones, they blend beautifully with most shades of green. Rustic interiors based on elements in nature particularly work; think bright and fresh, but natural enough to not look out of place.

Adding a small, bold pop of color adds a level of interest and character that especially suits streamline minimalist design.

Accessorizing with green is an easy way to add the color du jour without breaking the bank or committing to something more permanent. Cushions, curtains, blankets and vases are all easy ways to add in brilliant pops of green. These items can be easily swapped out when you tire of the color and new accessories can be brought in for the season. This situation is ideal for someone who isn’t looking to compromise their core design with new trends.
